Get all the up-to-date news and results from the Fédération Internationale de Ski ("FIS"), the International Ski Federation.
The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is the top international circuit of Alpine Skiing competitions staged annually. It is considered the premier competition in alpine ski racing together with the quadrennial Olympic Winter Games and the biennial FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. Some experts even consider winning the World Cup to be athletically a more valuable title than winning gold at the Olympic Winter Games or the World Championships, since it requires a competitor to ski at an extremely high level in several events throughout the season, and not just in one race.
Snowsport England
The Governing Body for English skiers and snowboarders is recognised by Sport England, the CCPR (Central Council for Physical Recreation) and the British Olympic Association. It is a Federation of member clubs and associated individuals with a current aggregate membership of 100,000 skiers. Recognised and directly grant aided by Sport England, Snowsport England was given responsibility for fostering and promoting the interests of English skiers and all aspects of their sport in England and overseas, through its members and interested agencies in the public and private sectors.
Snowsport England also run a seperate website (www.uksnowsports.co.uk) specifically for Coaching and Instructing.
